With currently four films, this highly realistic thriller has been exceeding fan’s expectations for over a decade. If you’re a fan of the spy genre, the Bourne series is an absolute must watch. Each of the movies is available on DVD (sorry streamers!). However, you’re in luck if you have a Netflix account. Sorry, there’s no way around it, it’s all or nothing.
The Bourne Identity fills you in on crucial background information that is needed for the sequels. Like most popular series, you definitely need to watch the Bourne movies in order. Currently there are a dozen books with one being consistently written every single year. With Universal confirming plans for future Bourne movies, hopefully the movies will eventually catch up with the books. This strategy has proven effective over the last decade with a combined box office earnings of over a billion dollars. Known for its realism, Bourne does not use over the top CGI likeJames Bond or other spy movies which tend to be a bit over the top. Every film in this four part series will keep you on the edge of your seat wanting more. The Bourne movie series is probably one of my favorite spy movies of all time.
